Uniquely sited at the confluence of the Delaware River and Poquessing Creek, Glen Foerd is proud to offer outdoor recreational opportunities to the Philadelphia area.

This season, Glen Foerd will be offering two types of boating experiences: Open Boating Days and Public Kayak Excursions.

Open Boating Days at Glen Foerd

We’ll have canoes, rowboats, and kayaks for guests to explore parts of the Poquessing Creek and Delaware River. This activity is open to all ages, though minors must be accompanied by an adult.

This is a walk up first come, first serve event. Boat space is limited. Glen Foerd staff will do our best to ensure as many people get out on the water as possible, but we can not make any guarantees.

Events can be canceled on short notice due to weather and river conditions. Please check our website and social media for updates on cancellations.

Public Kayak Excursions

Kayak excursions will be led by professionally certified guides and are appropriate for all levels of experience. The tour will include an introduction to the basics of paddling and an overview of safety protocols. Our exploration will be in tandem kayaks, so if you arrive solo, you may be partnered with a new friend!

This activity is open to all ages 10+, though minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Guests should arrive 15 min prior to start time to receive a safety talk, sign waivers, and other trip preparations. There will be a $5 registration fee that will be refunded if you make it to the event. Those who register and do not attend without canceling 24 hours before the event will forfeit their registration fee. There is an option to donate your fee if you choose to support programming at Glen Foerd.
